Andrew and Lauren have both been in the environmental education field for the last ten years teaching in environments all over the United States. They also both attended Antioch University New England and gained their Masters Degrees in Environmental Science with a concentration in Environmental Education. In addition, they focused a lot of their time in graduate school creating curriculum based on sustainable agriculture. If you are interested in visiting the farm with your classroom, community group, homeschool group, family, or whatever organization you are with, please let us know! We would be more then happy to create a one day to a week-long curriculum for you and your group. The possibilities are endless!

We will be having sunset dinners throughout the year for our friends and family. We start off with a farm tour which brings guests around the farm. It ends with the beginning of dinner on our deck while the sun sets on the foothills. Read more about our successful first dinner we had in June 2015 on our blog. We had two other sunset dinners in August and October, which were both tasty and fun. In 2016, we had a dinner in June and in November. In 2017, we had a June, July, and October dinner. This year, 2018 we will be starting our dinners off on June 16th! |
We received a grant from NRCS to put in a new High Tunnel at the farm. We had great help from folks that weekend and managed to get most of it up! We then worked on it for a few days after and finished it up. We received another grant from NRCS to install another High Tunnel in 2016...keep checking back for more information on when we will be putting that one together. |

We were one of the locations for the Farms and Ranches of Mariposa County 2015 Farm and Ranch Tour! The tour was on Saturday, September 26th. It was a little warm that day, but we still enjoyed visiting with all of you who came out! There were a lot of great conversations about our non-till farming approach, and our sustainable cob building projects. Stay tuned in for next year's Farm and Ranch tour!

We had the Complete Cob Workshop held by the Cob Cottage Company at our farm from September 27th to October 5, 2013. We had about a dozen participants come to our farm from all over the United States, as well as Canada. The instructors for the course were David Gonzales and Pedro Pizaro and they put on an amazing 9 day course. The participants took the foundation of the building all the way up to laying the first roof rafters in this short period of time. The course included construction of Cob walls, arches for doors and windows, artistic details, finish work, and some fresco cob bench decoration as well. We even had students from the local Sierra Foothill Charter School come over for a few hours of cob building. |
